Wadhwani AI transforming India by merging private and public sector

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence is something which can create a difference in this world. It is already making a difference but on a level where only techies can see it. The common people haven’t yet felt the wave of Artificial Intelligence. AI is something which is going to have an adverse effect on the way we live anyway. It is going to make a huge difference in the way we live not long ago.

If we look closely, underprivileged people have no idea what Artificial Intelligence is. However, in some years it is going to have an effect on their lives. It is going to happen without them knowing it. The reason for that is AI does not discriminate and will try and create a balance between the rich and the poor. That said, if the public sector and private sectors come together, there is something brilliant that happens, a similar thing coupled with AI happened a year ago.

Romesh Wadhwani and Sunil Wadhwani, two entrepreneurs with immense experience are going to transform the scenario of India with the help of AI. The duo has developed an institute that will help people learn about AI and create a talent bunch of people which will enable India to become a powerhouse in AI. Apart from this, this talent bunch will work towards a social cause and developing the nation with the help of AI.

India is a country which has the largest population of poor people. Wadhwani Artificial Intelligence (WIAI), will work towards implementing AI in all sectors which will help eradicate that problem. Artificial Intelligence in fields like education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, and such sectors might just be path-breaking. WIAI has been doing this for a year now.

A year ago, during its launch, PM Narendra Modi said, “Wadhwani AI is a prime example of how the public sector and the private sector can come together with good intentions to build a world-class institute, aimed at benefiting the poor.” He sounded positive during the inauguration. A year later, there is a lot of development and WIAI is working towards glory in the coming years.

Wadhwani brothers came in India with $30 million of their own and are working in tandem with the government. Romesh Wadhwani sounded all kinds of excited during its launch a year ago and has lived up to it. As he was very happy with the cooperation of the government. He also said that the government was pretty happy with their work as all the data they accumulate stays in the country, unlike other companies.

During the launch, he had explained how his non-profit company will work. He was recorded saying, “We will apply AI in all key domains such as education, public health, agriculture, infrastructure, and financial inclusion. Success means bringing innovative solutions that achieve large-scale positive social impact. We hope this will transform how AI research is conducted and applied to help societies throughout the world.”
