Vivo’s second Z-series smartphone arrives in India. The Vivo Z1X launches in India today while adding 48 MP camera to the mix. The Vivo Z1x has the Snapdragon 712 SoC at the helm laced with 6GB RAM. The smartphone runs Android Pie with Funtouch OS 9.1.
The Vivo Z1x price in India starts at Rs. 16,990 for its 6GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage variant and goes up to Rs. 18,990 for its 6GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage variant. The smartphone will be available in Fusion Blue and Phantom Purple color variants.
By hopping on the 48 MP camera trend, Vivo Z1X joins the league of Realme 5 Pro, Xiaomi Mi A3 (review), Redmi Note 7 Pro and others.

Design and Display: It sports a 6.38-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop-shaped notch instead of the hole-punch that was seen earlier on the Vivo Z1 Pro.
The device is 8.13 mm thin, and the frame is so slim and compact, which is comfortable to hold in hand.
Hardware and Storage: Z1x is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC, the same as the Z1 Pro. It also has the same storage and memory configurations which go up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The company is banking on the presence of a Multi-Turbo and Ultra Game Mode for improved performance. However, it doesn’t provide you with an expandable microSD card slot.
Operating System and Security: The dual-SIM (Nano) Vivo Z1x runs Funtouch OS 9.1 based on Android 9.0. There is an on-screen fingerprint scanner for security.
Camera and Connectivity: The biggest change by far is the triple rear camera is present on the Vivo Z1x, featuring a 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 sensor with an f/1.79 aperture, an 8-megapixel sensor with a 120-degree wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture, and finally, a 2-megapixel portrait camera with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front, is a 32-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
It offers the standard connectivity options which include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.
Battery and Miscellaneous: Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, It is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 22.5W FlashCharge tech. The company claims to provide 3 hours of talk time with 5 minutes of charge.
Vivo Z1x sale offers include Rs. 1,250 discount on HDFC Bank card and EMI transactions, and Jio benefits worth Rs. 6,000. There will also be no-cost EMIs up to 6 months available. It will go on sale starting September 13 through Flipkart and Vivo’s official website.
