Vivo kicked off the offline sale of its latest smartphone Vivo S1 in India last week. Now, the Chinese manufacturer goes for online sales in the country today. However, the smartphone, as the company says, is mostly offline centric.
The Vivo S1 is priced in India at 17,990 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB internal storage option. The 6GB RAM and 64GB storage model of the Vivo S1 come for Rs 18,990. The top-end model comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage and this version of the phone comes for Rs 19,990. The Vivo S1 comes in two colours, Skyline Blue and Diamond Black.
So, where can you buy the Vivo S1 from? Interested buyers can head to Flipkart, Amazon India or Vivo’s e-store. The smartphone is already available for purchase on these platforms. Besides, the smartphone is available at Reliance Digital, Big C, Croma, and Vijay Sales for offline purchase.
Highlights and Specifications
The Vivo S1 packs a 6.38-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The panel supports 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution with a tiny dewdrop-style notch at the top. It will sport an in-display fingerprint scanner. The display has thin bezels on the sides but the bottom chin is comparatively thicker.
It has a laminate back with a striking diamond pattern design and a gradient colour finish. The diamond pattern gives a catchy look to the aesthetics of the phone.
It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P65 MT6768 SoC paired with 4GB and 6GB of RAM options. The Vivo S1 comes with 64GB and 128GB of onboard storage choices. The handset boots Funtouch OS 9 based on Android Pie.
For photography, the Vivo S1 has a triple rear camera setup that includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor with an /f1.78 lens, 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 lens. The smartphone also has a 32-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front with an f/2.0 lens on top.
Rear camera features include HDR, Live photo, PDAF, AI super wide-angle, portrait mode, AI portrait framing, Doc mode, Professional mode, AR Stickers, AI Face Beauty, Video Face Beauty, Time-Lapse, Slo-Mo, and more.
Connectivity options are WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and 4G LTE.
The Vivo S1 comes with a powerful 4,500mAh battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 2.4G + 5G, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB with USB OTG support. Sensors on-board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, proximity sensor, virtual gyroscope, and in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Vivo S1 looks stylish and offers a long-lasting battery. The super AMOLED screen of the Vivo S1 is comfortable and cosy for the eyes. The phone is capable of handling day-to-day usage pretty well but gaming performance could have been better.
