ViewSonic Debuts All-in-One Direct View LED With Up to 216-Inch Display

ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of visual solutions, is introducing its latest All-in-One Direct View LED Displays, a brand-new addition to the large-size presentation display sector. Different from traditional LED displays, these new displays integrate display, image stitching, power supply, and control systems into one device that offers easy installation, operation, and maintenance. The elegant design of the All-in-One Direct View LED Display elevates the seamless viewing experience and easily merges with the surrounding environment in spaces such as lobbies, auditoriums, boardrooms, and conference rooms.

The brand-new ViewSonic All-in-One Direct View LED Display resolves all the pain points of traditional large-sized displays by providing innovative LED technology and integrating different systems into one device. Moreover, it supports wireless presentation and can operate as a large interactive display through being coupled with ViewSonic’s ViewBoard or touch monitor.

Displays that can take up whole vertical surfaces are popular in enterprise and professional contexts, and for some good reasons. They are often effective when displaying video, presentations, or even interactive content to larger audiences, or in simply reinforcing brand identity or prestige. However, they can also come with many drawbacks.

Older screen-walls often needed to be made of many individual LCD panels, which could entail a lot of work, maintenance, and, above all, wires to make sure the content in question would be confluent and legible across the resulting grid of individual displays. Furthermore, LCDs had a limit of 98 inches per panel.

Therefore, this form-factor is moving on to LED at this point. This often allows for just 1 huge display; however, they may also be associated with the disadvantages of needing multiple different controllers or systems to (again) show the image or video as intended.

ViewSonic claims to address all such problems with its new All-in-One Direct View LED Display. The OEM asserts that it consolidates all of the systems necessary to operate one of them into 1 device. In addition, it may be operated easily using the same company’s ViewBoard interface or one of its touchscreen monitors.

The Direct-View LED Display is also rated for a potentially enhanced viewing experience, with 120% of the Rec.709 wide color gamut and bezels of “only” 10 millimeters (mm) in size. Each of these new video walls is also only 35mm thick. ViewSonic also claims that their streamlined design means that one can be installed by as few as 2 people.

The new displays also confer the possible advantage of needing as little as 1 unit per display. They come in SKUs of 108, 135, 163, and 216 inches.

“As a leading visual solution provider, we are pioneering new trends in the LED projector and presentation display markets and moving the development of LED technology forward by achieving this new milestone in LED displays,” said Dean Tsai, the Head of the Projector & LED Display Business Unit of ViewSonic. “We created a whole new product category, and market sector with All-in-One Direct View LED Displays, which come in sizes of up to 216″. The complete product line-up delivers large-sized presentation displays for a wide array of usage scenarios and proves that we remain at the cutting edge of innovative applications in the display world.”
