Xiaomi is the undisputed leader in the Indian smartphone market and more so in the entry-level and mid-range segments. The company launched such amazing quality products at such competitive prices that it becomes utterly difficult for the competitors to keep up. The note series from Xiaomi’s Redmi line of products has become a household name due to its balance of feature, quality and affordability.
Today, the company launched its newest Note, the Redmi Note 6 Pro in India. This model had been launched 2 months back globally but arrived in India today. It carries the famous ‘Notch Display’. It comes in 2 variants, 4GB Ram 64GB storage and 6GB Ram 64GB storage.
According to many, the Redmi Note 6 Pro is just the ‘Redmi note 5 Pro with a notch’. However, this is not completely true. Yes, the specifications are quite similar such as the processor, storage and even the camera resolution. However, the changes are significant Such as the camera performance. Though the camera set up in the rear is the same old 12mp and 5mp, the new model has 1.9 aperture, which is better than the Note 5 Pro.
The software is the latest one from Xiaomi (MiUi 10) and Google (Android 8.1). The selling point of this phone is the camera and its amazing features. The software and the AI inbuilt in this phone allows for a premium experience. It has a studio lighting feature and also an AI light trail feature that makes the editing much better and similar to the flagship devices.
At this price point, this device is a clear winner in its category.
