Chinese electronics brand TCL has expanded its product portfolio in India with the launch of AI ultra-inverter AC. The newly launched product comes with support for Google Assistant. It is priced at Rs 23,990.
The company says that the TCL ultra-inverter AC comes powered by artificial intelligence. The air conditioners are high on energy savings and designed for India’s extreme climatic conditions. According to the company, the high-density filter, and silver ion filtration technology used maximizes air purification by removing bacteria from the environment and lending a fresh breath of cool and anti-bacterial air. TCL smart ACs also come with gold fin condenser and evaporator for durability and are powered by TCL AI x IoT System, with options such as hotspot or Wi-Fi control, voice-based commands, app control, and more.
It is said to offer a ‘combination of smart connectivity, high performance, low power consumption and durability’. Users can control the AC with Google Assistant as well as TCL Home app. Its smart connectivity feature allows one to connect it with TCL Smart TV.
It is equipped with an ultra tropical compressor, which is claimed by the company to deliver optimum cooling at high temperatures. “It starts with high frequency and runs at maximum RPM to bring down the temperature in merely 30 seconds,” the company said in a statement. On the power saving front, the AC’s compressor is said to consume 300 Watts or 0.3 units per hour.
TCL says that the smart air-conditioner has a titan gold evaporator and condenser which can increase the efficiency and life of both the evaporator and the condenser. The AC comes with a silver ion filter which the company says helps remove bacteria in the room. Other features include digital temperature display, 100% copper tubing, fireproof control box and four-way airflow to offer uniform cooling in the entire room. There is also an advanced remote sensor with I Feel technology that is said to sense the room temperature.
Meanwhile, the company has announced a warranty extension for its televisions and air conditioners due to the coronavirus lockdown. Warranty on TCL products has been extended till May 31. This means that users of TCL products with warranty ending between March 20 to April 30 can avail the service till May 31.
