Budget phones have been the way forward for the winners in the subcontinent of India. Xiaomi, Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, and many other companies have created a market for themselves with budget phones. They have managed to woo the audience in that sector with some amazing specifications, features, and design at a price range that is so attractive than other phones out there. The budget phones are the way forward for almost all the companies in India.
That said, Samsung has launched its budget phone for the Indian audience. The company that has had a stronghold on the Indian market for the longest period of time is back in the sector that made them in this country. Samsung had J series before m20 that did well but it was almost a year or two ago. India, however, did not miss Samsung as Xiaomi did a fantastic job at filling up the gap and winning the market.
The latest edition m20 of Samsung is full of features, it looks stunning and has infinity V display which is just another name for the teardrop display. To couple with its magnificent display, m20 has 3GB RAM and 32GB. There also a lower version of the same, the m10 which has 2GB RAM and 16GB storage.
The screen for both the phones is 6.3 inches in dimensions and is essentially bezel-less. The back side of the phone is polycarbonate which is not as strong as the glass panel and the feel is also not premium. Although the phone is not meant to be premium. That said, the camera is great for a phone which is meant to be a budget. The m20 dons a camera which is 13MP in power situated at the back and a 5MP wide-angle lens also situated at the back. The selfie camera is 8MP and is meant to capture detailed photos. This front camera also has Live Focus mode which works brilliantly.
All of these features are powered by a massive 5000mAh battery. This battery is meant to give the phone a full day’s power and even more. The battery charging port is type-c which is rare for the budget phones. To top all of this the phone supports 3X fast charging. The processor, however, is a bummer as it dons an Exynos 7904 chipset. The phone is available in the market for INR 10,990.
Moving on, the Samsung M20 has competition from Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2. The phone is stunning to look at. The dual camera setup at the back and that brilliantly crafted fingerprint scanner in the middle is just outstanding to look at. Asus’ Max Pro M2 comes after the superb success of Pro M1, the phone was well received by the audience and are taking the route Xiaomi took in the market.
That said, Pro M2 is nothing short of finesse when it comes to design. It comes in three variants, 3 GB RAM 32 GB storage, 4 GB RAM 64 GB storage, and 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. The pricing is also different starting from INR 12,999 for the 3GB version.
The camera at the back is 12MP and 5MP with f/1.8. There are HDR and the panorama feature as well. The front camera is also not that bad as it is 13MP with f/2.0 and 1080p recording. The processor is a Snapdragon 660 processor is why this device is so powerful and brilliant. To power such a powerful device, the battery given is 5000mAh which is on par with Samsung’s M20. It comes in two colors Blue and Titanium.
Now, our verdict will surely be inclined to Samsung because of the Infinity V display and the looks, however, Asus’s Max Pro M2 isn’t behind by long. The processor on the Asus phone is better but the performance and fast charging on the Samsung phone make it a better phone by just a little bit.
