After tasting huge success in 4G SIM and 4G feature Phone, now the Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani officially preparing to launch the world’s largest Online-to-offline e-commerce platform, especially to challenge the existing Amazon and Flipkart. Apart from this, a new report says that the Reliance Jio is working on a super-app, which will provide more than 100 services in a single platform.
According to the reports, after achieving unprecedented growth in data and voice traffic, Jio is providing service to more than 300 million customers in India. The Super App will help Reliance to make India’s Wechat, also in a market where platforms like Snapdeal, Freecharge, Flipkart and Hike have failed.
Rama, Chief of Industry Intelligence Group, CMR, told that Jio’s Super App will give Reliance a strong position. This app can combine its strong ecosystem with its users with various services. The Super App will allow users to order goods on this platform and pay bills via the in-app payment service. The company is engaged in creating a hybrid ecosystem, where customers will be able to purchase both online and offline.
He further said that Reliance Jio’s Super App will make e-commerce, online booking and payment facility available to all its users in one place. According to the joint report of Deloitte India and Retail Association of India, India is the fastest growing e-commerce market, which is expected to increase from $ 24 billion in 2017 to $ 84 billion in 2021. After Telecom, Reliance Jio is now preparing to conquer the e-commerce sector.
In November last year at the Make in Odisha Conclave, Mukesh Ambani had said that the new e-commerce platform will bring about a change in the lives of 30 million traders across the country, making them work with the help of technology like big business houses and e-commerce companies.
Apart from Super App, Reliance Jio Fiber service will be launched in the next two months. Which means that Jio Broadband can launch the service in June this year. The company promises to provide cheap and high-speed data at a very low and affordable price, which no telecom company has done it. According to the report, the speed of at least 100 Mbps will be given. A source also told that the plan will start with the speed of 100 Mbps and it will be the cheapest broadband service for Indian users so far.
