The Oppo A9 2020 priced at ₹ 15,490 is set to launch in India on September 16. A9 appeared on the Facebook page of the Vietnamese division of the company and it looks intriguing – four shooters with the main being 48 MP, 5,000 mAh battery and 8 GB RAM.
The phone is also teased to be powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC. For comparison, the predecessor Oppo A9 was powered by the MediaTek Helio P70 SoC coupled with half the amount of RAM, and just dual rear cameras.
The Oppo A9 2020 is to sport a waterdrop notch design, similar to that of its predecessor. Along with a have 6.5” display HD+ screen. The software will be ColorOS 6.1, based on Android Pie.
The smartphone will feature a quad-camera setup at the back, which boasts a 48-megapixel primary camera. Besides that, the camera setup will also include an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
It also said that the phone will pack an 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, Ultra Night Mode, and Video Stability features. Oppo is also bumping up the battery capacity from 4,020mAh to 5,000mAh.
