LG back with New Range of Affordable Smartphones

LG Smartphones

LG is all set to launch its W-series smartphone in India in the mid-priced range section, the company has struggled in recent times and is back with a new approach. A page appeared on Amazon India, showing the phone.

The e-commerce giant gives us a look at the upcoming LG W-series smartphone. It shows that the phone comes with an AI-enabled triple rear camera setup with features such as Wide Angle Shot, Low Light, and a dedicated Portrait mode. The triple rear camera setup also has a bokeh effect along with wide-angle image capabilities. The phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The phone looks to have three color options along with a gradient finish back. The phone appears to have a display notch that could be customized and hidden completely using a software-centric feature. The company says that its W series smartphone will have a ‘pocket-worthy price tag.’   The phone may compete with Samsung’s online-exclusive Galaxy M series in the budget and mid-priced segment. The new LG smartphone has been shown on too with the same teaser images as the official website, making it obvious to be the official online partner for the new W series.

in terms of the colors, the smartphone would be available in three’ colors – sea green, black and electric blue. The interesting factor of the phone is its unique notch. LG, as a part of its user interface customisations, allows users to pick between a regular notch and a display with bezels.  Apart from a display with bezels on the top, the company is allowing users to pick between two notch options – a water drop notch and a dot drop notch. These come when other brands are looking for a full-screen display and looking for different techniques to achieve a full screen and LG is back with a unique approach to it.

LG was quite inactive and missing for quite a few time in the Indian market. The last phone that the company released in the country is the V40 ThinQ₹ 49,990 which has five cameras and a 6.4-inch OLED display. The company is now looking to release it’s W series to make a comeback and give a tough time to other brands in the mid-range section.
