Flipkart’s style of selling products and discounts has changed drastically since the FDI policy. After Walmart’s takeover, there were a lot of changes at the helm and the company was headless for a long time. Even though it did not have a proper leader, the company was functioning without a problem and this is because of the strong structure. Binny and Sachin Bansal did play a crucial role in structuring the company in a way which would not crumble even after major setbacks.
That being said, now is the time of major sales and Flipkart, along with its arch rivals Amazon are gearing up for it. The summer sales are going to be a heated battle as it is the first big sale after the FDI policy. The electronics and almost all the home appliance on sale are majorly discounted. There is a lot of competition and the reason for this is that this sale is going to have newly launched devices amongst them as well.
OnePlus launched its 7 and 7 Pro yesterday while there were a lot of other devices which were launched just weeks before. The summer sale will have all these phones being sold on respective platforms as well. The home appliance market is also going to see a lot of discounts as well. That being said, let us dive into the proper discounts category wise.
Home appliance market is gaining a lot of traction recently. This is why e-commerce companies are discounting heavily in this category. That being said, there are offers on inverters, air conditioners, stabilizers, TVs and the discounts go up to 70%. TVs which are essentially not very cheap are going to be displayed at a price of INR 12 thousand and above.
There are water purifiers which are on sale. The air conditioners from Voltas, the 1.5 ton split AC can be found priced at INR 30,999, while the Lloyd AC with a 4-star rating is listed at INR 33,990. This is how low the prices get.
Smartphones are also on sale. Companies like Redmi, Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo, Vivo, all have phones which are heavily discounted. These phones are either older versions of the phones or newer versions with different payment options which turn into discounts. Redmi Note 4 is now available for INR 10,999 a steep INR 4000 flat discount. Honor H lite has also seen a major price drop. It is now being listed at INR 11,999 another INR 4000 price drop.
The new launches have exchange offers which act as a discount. The EMI offers are brilliant with zero interest offers being in demand. There is a trend of all these things at the moment and Flipkart is going to have all these on sale.
Till then, happy shopping.
