Facebook is now working towards a better and bigger tomorrow. It has understood that the current versions of their social media applications are not at par and they need to do something better with it. The company has been fighting all the scandals and paying money to settle the cases in the recent past. There have been many problems internally as well. The investors were not happy with the way the company is operating.
That being said, Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of the biggest social media platform in the world is trying to integrate the private messaging and make it the core of Facebook and every other social media company they have. WhatsApp has the largest engagement of all the social media Facebook owns and the problem with it is that the company cannot monetize that engagement. WhatsApp has always been an unprofitable venture where all they earn is from the business side of it.
Moving on, Zuckerberg during the keynote of Facebook, introduced the newest design of Facebook. The company decided to give a new look to its interface altogether. This was a decision they had to take in order to shake off the negativity. The fact that the blue color associated with Facebook has been used for over 15 years now. A new fresh approach would only help the company.
This new approach comes as a surprise for everyone as Zuckerberg had hinted at it but he had done so about the making Facebook chat based but never did he mention that the entire Facebook design will go under an overhaul. The new approach is surely going to help Facebook start afresh. Zuckerberg did talk about privacy during his speech and introduction but he did so while talking about changing that as well.
He said, the world is getting bigger and it is trying to be connected. The sense of intimacy is what Facebook is trying to offer. The future is private said, Zuckerberg. He also stressed that being the future of the company. He also talked about the privacy issues and said that the company is known for its evolution and this is just another evolving phase for the company.
He said, “As the world gets bigger and more connected, we need that sense of intimacy more than ever. That’s why I believe that the future is private. This is the next chapter for our services. I know that we don’t exactly have the strongest reputation on privacy right now, to put it lightly. We’ve shown time and again as a company that we have what it takes to evolve.”
