Esports to reach new heights as an Indian startup gains attraction

Online gaming is a field which is rapidly gaining market all over the world. It has surged to a huge extent and is opening up new branches for business. The opportunities in this market seem to be endless as of now but there are companies wasting no time in taking strides. Esports has already become a viable industry to invest in. The numbers jot down by various annual reports confirm the same.

Esports Economy is supposed to outgrow itself by $905.6 million which is a 38% rise from before. The brand contribution will increase by 48% compared to its previous year. The audience is supposed to bulk up to 380 million. They will comprise 165 million passionate esports watchers and 215 million passerby audience. By 2020, if esports grows with the same intensity, it will surge to $1.4 billion.

Citing this, many have arrived with their own organizations. No company has conquered the field of esports as everyone is trying to find their feet. One such company comes from India; Global eSports (GE). GE is an online gaming startup which manages and boasts teams from all over the world. They have titles such as PUBG, Fortnite, Overwatch, and Rainbow Six Siege. They are entering the market of PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty and also League of Legends in no time.

GE according to their founder, Dr. Rushindra Sinha, comprises of passionate gamers. The Indian startup was founded in 2017 and is in its seed days. GE owns seven teams at the moment. They represent four titles in all and have won a squash buckling $25 million in prize money.  They also earn through streams on Twitch or on YouTube.

The company holds events and receives huge amounts in sponsorships as well. However, they are looking at a more sustainable model and have started to work on it. GE recently launched their merchandise. They have also designed special gear for gamers all over the world. All in all, GE is managing to make some noise in the not so noisy market.
