Asus has budget phones in India and it is happy with the market it owns. The performance is not extravagant but the phones of Asus most of the time go under the radar. The company is best known for its wonderful designs and powerful devices for a price which is nothing but competitive. The company has always played it safe no matter what. The Taiwanese behemoth always looked at the market and went with the trend.
There were instances where computing giant tried and experimented but failed miserably. This where it realized that following the trend is playing it safe. There is nothing beyond that as making smartphones is not its primary business. That being said, the company is hot news right now. The reason for this is the Asus Zenfone 6. The phone looks like a beast and the specifications make it a true masterpiece. It was launched in Spain a week ago and it has been in the news ever since.
The Specs Sheet
The specification sheet of the phone is mesmerizing, to say the least. Asus Zenfone 6 is packed with everything that there can be on a phone. It has a fantastic 6.40-inch screen with 1080×2340 pixel AMOLED display. There is no notch, no hole in the display and no selfie camera as well. Yes, you read that right but have patience, there is a catch to this. And no, it doesn’t pop up from inside of the phone as well.
The phone dons the Snapdragon 855 handsomely and will have three variants with a variety of RAMs with the highest being 8GB of and the lowest being 6GB. The storage capacity ranges from 64GB to 256GB as there is a variant in between those which has a storage capacity of 128GB. These are some of the basic specifications of the phone, we have done an in-depth review of the Asus Zenfone 6, to find that you can click here.
The Indian launch date and the Camera
The camera on the phone was a major concern as there was no front camera listed. However, the company has found a way to flip the rear camera up as the front camera making the selfie sensors and cameras irrelevant. This is where the design of Asus Zenfone 6 wins. The other good thing about the camera is that it can be stopped at any angle while flipping on the front side and will allow you to take photos at a weird angle.
The other major update is that the phone is now listed on Flipkart and will go on sale in the coming days. The phone is going to be priced equivalent to the Euros and to guess the price of the three variants is no rocket science.
The 6GB + 64GB variant will cost around INR 39 thousand while the 6GB + 128GB variant will cost around INR 43 thousand and the top end model which has 8GB + 256GB RAM and storage respectively will cost around INR 47 thousand.
However, the price may vary a bit but these are mostly the price range we can look at and agree at the moment.
