The name Apple oozes luxury for most people. It has been marketed over the years in such a way that it has become a fashion statement instead of a normal electronics device manufacturer. One can do almost all or even more work with the flagship smartphones from the Android ecosystem but the brand has cast a spell on the minds of the users who still believe that Apple offers more than just technology. The brand offers fashion and luxury. In most places owning an Apple device means you are rich and that is what matters. However, no one can take away the fact that their devices are really great in terms of hardware and software both. The best part about their devices is that the hardware and the software are both homemade, which results in probably the smoothest and fastest user experiences of any device available in the market.

The smartphone world has seen many innovations in the oast decade but in recent years the innovations have somewhat slowed down. The only major things we have seen recently is in the camera space, where the placement of the camera on the front of the device has been changing quite often. The software has remained almost the same for a very long time with the occasional changes that are brought in by the developers every now and then. The updates are mostly for security and bug fixes for speed enhancement.

Apple has announced at WWDC (Apple Worldwide Developers Conference is a conference held annually by Apple Inc. in San Jose, California) that it is going to roll out iOS 13 which is going to be the company’s next operating system.

OS 13 is the biggest change to the iPhones in a few years. Some of the biggest changes inside iOS 13 are for the iPad. The company is actually leaving an update called iPadOS exclusively for iPad. Apple indicated that the iPad needs its own platform.

Highlights of the OS include Dark Mode, Find My app, new Siri voice, updated privacy features, new street-level view for Maps, Systemwide Dark Mode, Revamped Photos app, The new Photo editing interface, Sign In with Apple Option, Location data limits, Look Around View in Maps, New Reminders App, New Siri voice and many more.

One of the best updates is the dark mode which is going to be of great help especially at night for a soothing effect. Turning on iOS 13 Dark Mode can be done in Control Center, according to Apple, or you can set it automatically to turn on at night.

As the iPhones are flagship phones with high prices, the company has observed that customers stick on to their phones for a longer time. The company is speeding up the iOS 13 rollout process. The most important iOS 13 features are that the app launch speed will be twice as fast as it was earlier according to Apple, and Face ID unlocking will be 30% faster than before. iOS 12 gave us a faster update, and iOS 13 looks to be consistent and continue over this.

The devices getting the new iOS 13 updates are: iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus and iPhone SE
