Alibaba Group, the Chinese multinational conglomerate has launched 10 new products and it says that these will benefit the Indian customers as well. The news was revealed at the Alibaba Cloud APAC Summit in Singapore. Alibaba Cloud, the data intelligence bank of Alibaba Group has announced a Chinese Gateway Programme to facilitate the entry of international companies in China. The program has been launched in collaboration with other eight Chinese companies who would aid the international companies and small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) in expanding in China. The summit also stressed on the fact that the Indian market is a major market for them.
Commenting on the timeline for launch of China Gateway Programme in India, Alibaba Cloud intelligence international president, Selina Yuan told, “Today the program was launched and I can tell you that we are ready for India. It’s a global program and we already have 700 SMEs which will benefit from it.”
Besides the Chinese Gateway Programme, they have also announced the launch of 10 new products and features which would be obtainable by the clients worldwide. The products include Alibaba Log Service (SLS), Support of “Bring Your Own Key” (BYOK), SaaS Accelerator, Smart Access Gateway (SAG) Software, Container Registry (ACR) Enterprise Edition and Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK).
Speaking on the occasion, Alibaba Cloud Intelligence International President Selina Yuan said: “Alibaba Cloud has been paving the way for a digital era across Asia-Pacific by building a world-class cloud infrastructure. It is our mission to build an inclusive cloud service that will drive a highly integrated technology ecosystem. We are confident in helping local businesses of all sizes to grow in the region.”
India, A Major Market For Alibaba Cloud
Stating the importance of the Indian market, Henry Zhang, chief product officer of Alibaba Cloud told, “Indian customers are very much on the cutting edge. Some of the largest growing startups such as Paytm and Big Basket are in India. We are focused on building products and services that will benefit Indian customers.”

The motive of Alibaba Cloud in India is to meet the demand for cloud computing services in India among the growing and SMEs in India. In India, the demand for e-commerce is increasing day by day. With the assistance of Alibaba Cloud, starting your own e-commerce business will become easier. It provides very economical cloud services and many state boards like Andhra Pradesh started their project with Alibaba cloud. They signed an agreement with Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board to leverage Ali Cloud’s ET city brain solution for sustainable farming through smart technologies, integrated traffic management, smart city management, small and medium enterprises, and skill development programs.
Alibaba Cloud already has a presence in India, and it will not be very difficult for them to expand.
